I was on CONAN tonight. It was a lot of fun. Conan O’Brien has been the funniest person in the world to me since I was 11 years old. Seeing him in person is COOL.
Here is the sign on my dressing room. As you all know, John Mulaney is my stage name. My real name is Jermajesty Princess Show Biz.

If you don’t know who John Mulaney is yet, I hope you do after this week. He’s my number #1 favorite up-and-coming comedian. I think he’s incredibly clever and absolutely hilarious.
I saw him at the Comedy Cellar when he was probably around 23 or 24, and I was blown away by how good he was at that age - his act was so precise and sharp, in both the writing and the delivery - I immediately took note of his name and was not at all surprised to see him turn up on TV shortly afterward as both a writer and a performer. I also accurately guessed that he went to Georgetown, based on a bit he did about going to college in DC with a lot of preppie people who did coke (So I’m basically Veronica Mars, is what I’m saying). His act is actually pretty clean; even with some references to drugs & sex, it’s not vulgar at all.
I skipped his Comedy Central taping in August only because it was my birthday, and quite frankly it was a tough call, but fortunately for me and the rest of you who missed it live (so jealous of littlelg, who did attend), his special JOHN MULANEY: NEW IN TOWN is finally airing this Saturday at 10 PM. I implore you to watch and enjoy. You can thank me later.

Everything that she said. Seriously you guys. When I went to the filiming, I laughed so hard that I couldn’t breathe. So DVR it or if you’re going to be home without plans on Saturday night (like me!) Comedy Central. 10 pm. You won’t regret it.
