Last night, Laura and I went to see Page One, the new documentary that shows a year at The New York Times and how the newspaper is surviving in a world where every other day someone is declaring the death of print media.
While it may not be the most exciting film I go see this year, it definitely was one of the more riveting. The filmmakers did a really great job at giving you a “fly on the wall” view of what life is like at the New York Times and how they are adjusting to the digital world. I think the best line that I took away was “this is no longer a transition to digital, it’s now a revolution.”
I highly recommend checking this movie out if you have any interest in the media industry. It’s currently in limited release, but according to this link it looks like it will be released to more theaters over the course of the summer.
